FAQs
I am an early-stage start-up. How can EUSPA help?
You can apply to one of our opportunities below. If you are not sure which are suitable, you can contact the Entrepreneurship team: entrepreneurship@euspa.europa.eu
- Space Academy: develop your technology and business model
- CASSINI Hackathons: develop and validate your idea
- Prizes: win cash to fund your development
- CASSINI Matchmaking: if you are already looking for funding, Matchmaking will prepare you to meet potential investors
How can I get connected to the investors on the EUSPA website?
The best way to get connected to these investors is by applying to CASSINI Matchmaking.
If you have participated in one of our CASSINI initiatives in the past and are looking for funding, reach out to your assigned EUSPA contact point or the entrepreneurship team at entrepreneurship@euspa.europa.eu for consultation.
Can I reapply to the CASSINI initiatives after an unsuccessful application?
Yes, in general, you are welcome to reapply to our programmes. However, when submitting proposals for Prizes, consult the Prize's Terms of Reference.
Are there any restrictions on how to use the cash won in a CASSINI Prize?
No, a prize is a financial contribution given as a reward following a contest, and there are no restrictions on the use of the monetary prize.
How can I get started with Earth Observation (EO) data from Copernicus?
Multiple data access points exist in the Copernicus programme. The new Data Access Service (DAS) is the most recent operational access point. In addition, data can be accessed via Entrusted Entities in form of services via multiple solution providers and via operating Data Information Access Service. Finally, you can consult the Copernicus Thematic Hubs: Health, Arctic, Coastal, and Energy.
How can I get started with position and timing data from Galileo?
Galileo-enabled receivers can receive the signals broadcast by Galileo satellites and process them to compute position. For processing GNSS signals on Android smartphones, see Raw GNSS Measurements.
